Authentic Thai Recipe Ingredient: Shrimp (Prawn)

Shrimp (Prawn)
กุ้ง (Goong)
Shrimp (Prawns; Gung) are a popular ingredient in many different Thai food dishes. Thailand produces a large percentage of the world's shrimp. Though most of these are exported to the west, we do eat quite a lot of them here and even the smallest Thai restaurant is expected to have fresh shrimp available. We use shrimp in Tom Yum, Pa Nang, and many others.
