Phrik chi fa is a medium sized chilli, and less spicy than the phrik khi nu, but still rather spicy. These have been sun-dried, and we use them to add rich spicy flavor to certain chili pastes, as in Phrik Kaeng Pao. They are also added whole some soups and other recipes.
